부정대명사 one, other, another

one, other, another는 셀 수 있는 명사를 가리키는 부정 대명사 입니다.

one은 앞에 나온 단수명사를 가리킬 때 씁니다. 복수명사에는 ones 를 씁니다.

other는 그 밖의 다른 것, 다른 사람을 가리킬 때 씁니다. 복수명사에는 others를 씁니다.

참고)

앞에서 나온 명사 외에 나머지 전체를 가리킬 때는 other(s), 앞에 the를 붙입니다.

another는 또 다른 하나 라는 뜻으로, 하나를 뺀 나머지 중 다른 하나를 가리킬 때 씁니다.

 

Ex)

I don't have a laptop. I should buy one.

Sometiems smaller teams are btter than lager ones.

We have two desings: one with stirpes and the other with a checkered pattern.

Sarah is interested in helping others.

if you buy one box, you can get another for free.

 

 

 

부정대명사 both, either, neither

both, either, neither는 비교 대상이 둘일 때 쓰는 부정대명사 입니다.

both는 둘 다 라는 뜻으로 항상 복수 취급합니다.

either은 둘 중 하나, neither는 둘 중 어느 것도(아니다)라는 뜻으로 보통 단수 취급합니다.

 

Ex)

You can choose from two courses.Both are fine.

I don't believe either of them.

We have two copy machines, but neither works properly.
